  Customer Questions & Answers
Question:
Dear sir,I'm about to purchase the shock for R nine T. What information do you need for me to order this item? So I will mention that in the comments section when I check out. Thanks

Answer:
We don't need any information if you want a stock rear shock. I may suggest you to order with Grey Spring and specify the rider weight, info can be wrote in the basket "note" field or provided by email after the order has been placed writing to sales@carpimoto.com

Question:
I am looking for an alternative suspension system for my R nine t. I really like the Matris products, in particular the Fork Cartridge Kit and the rear shock M46K. I like the fact that the finish of these components matches the bike, i.e. silver spring. My question: The BMW r nine t is not a track bike and as such I am looking for a system that is also comfortable on the road. It is my impression that the Matris suspensions are for sportsbikes with a very firm riding experience. However, I also understand that there is a specific configuration for the R nine t that is more comfortable. Comments from your end? Kind regards, Klaus

Answer:
I developed the suspensions for NineT and Then Matris produced what we find was the best solution to ride on street.

Question:
Thank you for your reply in regards to my first question.I would like to know how the setup of the suspension is. In other words, currently, with the original fork setup and mono shock at the rear, the bike is way too soft at the front (including the diving if you hit the brakes) and too hard at the rear. How would you describe the setup with the Matris Fork Cartridge Kit R for BMW NineT and the Matris Rear Shock Absorber for BMW NineT, M46K version. Also, I was wondering if the Matris Rear Shock Absorber for BMW NineT, Special Edition Carpi Moto M05R Silver would make sense or if it would be way over the top for a Café Racer. I understand that you can adjust compression for low and high speed but then I also feel it could become very involved and technical to get the setup correct. My last question, do you provide setting for the fork and shock, i.e. taken body weight into consideration.Thank you,K.

Answer:
Cartridge + Rear Shock will be the right solution, the front and the rear will be firm but not hard. M05R is state of the art rear shock, as far NineT is the state of the art of Cafe Racer, it is not difficult to set up btw, you should have the sensibility to understand where to improve , while with 46K the set up is simplier and therefore easier. We can provide every type of set up but I recommend not to move from the standard if not really necessary.

Question:
On the MB315.06K shock. The "C" adjustor at the bottom should really be turned Anti-clockwise to fully close position, not clockwise as in the manual? This is because when it is mounted on the bike the 'C' adjustor is actually upside-down. Could you please confirm. Thanks.

Answer:
Hi, probably there's a confusion. The "C" adjustor (compression adjustment) is on the top of the shock. On the bottom you can set Rebound, "R" adjustor. It will be in fully closed position turning it clockwise
