  Customer Questions & Answers
Question:
Hi, Will these fit Desmosedici RR on standard forks, and if so will they improve braking over standard calipers, also what is the cost of replacement pads per set please. Regards Paul
February / 02 / 2013
Answer:
As far I remember your bike use a 6mm disk with a narrow band, so it is not possible to use these kind of calipers but only the monobloc CNC for 6mm disks. If I am wrong please reply to sales@carpimoto.com .

Question:
will this have better performance than the BMW HP4 factory one? if yes, in what aspect is it better?
June / 15 / 2013
Answer:
Yes these are racing calipers, HP4 calipers are street calipers. Simply they give you much more performance and brake power.

Question:
Hi,  What discs would you recommend to compliment these calipers? I have a 2012 Tuono V4R APRC, and was contemplating the T Drive rotors. Thanks.
September / 07 / 2014
Answer:
T-Drive or Supersport are the natural choice.

Question:
What master cylinder would you recommend for these calipers, the 19 RCS or the 17 RCS? Bike is an Aprilia Tuono V4R. Thanks.
October / 09 / 2014
Answer:
Brembo recommends 19RCS btw.

Question:
Hello for this set..can it be fitted to my KTM 1290 superduke r.If yes can the stock master cylinder do the job? Thx.
February / 11 / 2015
Answer:
Well , usually who install such an expensive caliper kit has already changed the Master Cylinder. You could use it but is a "nosense" , I strongly suggest to install a Brembo 19RCS which is its specific master cylinder .

Question:
Hello...i did briwse through your website but could not find the brembo T drive full floating for the KTM 1290 superduke..Can you help...thx
February / 12 / 2015
Answer:
hello, brembo doesn't produce t-drive disks for ktm1290 superduke at the moment.

Question:
Hi there, Do you have a GP4 monobloc version available? (this is for a S1000 RR). What would be the price? Do the monobloc calipers perform better? Any significant weight difference?
February / 16 / 2015
Answer:
GP4 RR calipers are only available in the 108mm version.

Question:
Brembo recommends not to install this caliper if the motorcycle oem brake system is a ABS System, or to deactivate ABS system. Could you explain why? With ABS become standard, we no longer need to modify calipers? Thanks!
July / 01 / 2015
Answer:
ABS is specific for oem calipers, different calipers should be tested and approved by the motorcycle manfucaturer. ABS in fact is calibrated for a specific brake fluid volume, different calipers has a different brake fluid volume .

Question:
Hi there, can I mount these on a 2011 Multistrada?Best regardsStefano
September / 26 / 2015
Answer:
Yes you can mount on Multistrada 1200, with some mods on brake hoses and without ABS.

Question:
hi there, I'm planning to replace the M4 brembo on my 2012 Multistrada no ABS with the GP4 RX.I mount an 18/20 Brembo master cylinder.According to your experience is there any known problem to replace my brakes?Do i have to change the brakes lines also? (carbon pipes maybe?)Suggestions are welcome.Best regards Stefano
January / 30 / 2016
Answer:
Hi, if you don't have ABS System you don't have any problem.I suggest to mount calipers and check if stock lines can work, you might need to change them as well.

Question:
hi there. will these calipers fit for an aprilia rsv4rf 2015?regards
March / 07 / 2016
Answer:
Thank you for contacting us through our website. Yes I confirm this part is correct.

Question:
Hello, I plan to purchase these to fit my BMW S1000rr 2013 model. I have the Brembo HP brake Disk upgrade. Same size as OEM. Will these calipers fit, or do I need Spacers. Also what is the difference between the GP4 RX and GP4RR. Master Cylinder is already RCS 19
May / 16 / 2016
Answer:
Hello, you can install GP4RX without any spacers and it works with 19RCS. You can't install GP4RR because their wheelbase is 108mm instead of 100mm.

Question:
Hi! I have a Aprilia RSV4 R 2013 for trackday riding. I have a RCS pump but will upgrade it to the brembo CNC Radial supersport pump. I will disconnect the ABS. Will the GP4RX calipers fit my bike and my set up?
May / 26 / 2016
Answer:
Yes sure. These calipers fit your bike.

Question:
Hello..I have owned and bought these exact callipers for my KTM 1290 superduke from you. These callipers perform excellently.i came across same model of GP4RX but with 2 bonjo bolts fittings in each side wheres mine there is only one and those are 100mm too. Are those the newer/latest design that this one or?? Can you assist? Thx
March / 17 / 2017
Answer:
I guess you watched the 108mm version, which have the bleeder.

Question:
Hi there i am riding a 2013 Panigale 1199R. Is this the only Brembo Calipers i can fit?And which Master Cyclinder Set will fit onto my Model (As between my Head Cowl Fairing & Handlebar is very compact). Thanks
May / 23 / 2017
Answer:
Hi, you can install these calipers or Hard Anodized CNC code 220A16810. They can't be used with ABS System. If you don't have ABS System. We suggest radial MC code XR01171. Max distance between Handlebar and lever is about 100mm

Question:
Quisiera saber que modelo de pinza Brembo puedo comprar para colocar en mi Honda X ADV 2017, de serie lleva pinzas radiales Nissin de 100mm.Gracias
October / 18 / 2017
Answer:
You can't install any caliper right now. I own XADV then I know what I'm telling you: the disks are only 3.5mm thick then every caliper you will use won't fit because they are made for at least 4.5 or 5mm disks, also you could damage the disks so far. I suggest to change the brake lines (what I did) or / and the master cylinder, or wait until there will be a caliper + disks kit.

Question:
hi, will these gp4 rx 100mm go straight on to my aprilia tuono 2016 with the standard braied hoses and standard lever/ master cylinder . and work ok,
May / 30 / 2018
Answer:
You can use stock master cylinder. We can't confirm you can use oem brake lines.

Question:
Hello, I'm confused , I have a Ducati V4 & I purchased the XA7G7G0 M.C. You said I need the XA7G210/211 Calipers & Pistabassa 08C86911 Disc.. I seen they changed the caliper # to XA7G240/241 BUT now there discontinued. " What" What is the very best Ducati 100mm caliper & disc setup I can buy from YOU NOW to work with my XA7G0 M.C. ?? Thanks Rick
October / 07 / 2018
Answer:
No problem, We are not confused... We work with Brembo Italian Racing support, we double checked with them before writing back to you, , We confim what we wrote in our past answer: The parts to be used with XA7G7G0 on Ducati V4 are XA7G210 + XA7G211 (now sold as single kit XA7G2A0) calipers and Pistabassa 08C86911 disks . XA7G240/241 had problems so they are now discontinued, you shall avoid to purchase them.

Question:
Hello, What pads come with these brake calipers? And where can we buy spares?
October / 22 / 2018
Answer:
The answer is inside this page. You are watching this page with a small screen, 360x640 pixel, then you must scroll the page, you will find spare pads and alternative pads.

Question:
Hi,Hello,I have Ducati Multistrada 1260 my 18' model, I have Original brake Disk. Will these calipers fit, or do I need Spacers? Thanks
December / 03 / 2018
Answer:
To plug these calipers on fork you don't need spacers. But as per what we wrote in most of the answers you shall remove the ABS.

Question:
Can I keep ABS if I change the brake steel line?
December / 05 / 2018
Answer:
Brembo does not approve mounting different calipers on a bike that has ABS. It is a problem connected to the Volumetry of the pistons and of the calipers. ABS could not work properly then won't be safe to use it combined with . Changing calipers will be at your full risk.

Question:
Hello, I‘m thinking about buying the calipers for Track use on my 899 Panigale. If there is no rebuild kit available is it possible to send the calipers to brembo for Service ?Where to at brembo and what will be the price ?Thank you in advance.
December / 16 / 2018
Answer:
The rebuild kit is not sold in Italy by Brembo because they don't want to assume the legal risk of improper overhauling. In other countries is sold and it is not expensive. In any case is possible to send caliers to Brembo , but we don't have a price list for this service.

Question:
I am trying to size the bolt length I need for these calipers to be used with a Ducati V4 (330mm discs). What is the mounting depth of the body (where the bolt passes through)? And also, are there new version 330mm T drive discs available?
February / 06 / 2019
Answer:
39mm is the depth. You will use stock bolts so far. The new 330mm are on our site already.

Question:
I like to fit this caliper to my Ducati Scrambler 2018 Street Classic. Will this caliper fit and if yes, can I purchase just a left caliper for the Scrambler (Scrammbler has only one caliper front left).
February / 11 / 2019
Answer:
One single caliper is not sold apart by Brembo.

Question:
Hi, I have a Tuono V4 1100 -16-Factory. I would like to change the calipers from M4.32 to Brembo GP4 RX CNC P4 32/32 Radial Calipers 100mm. Is it possible for this change? Cou you recommend discs? T-drive and can you tell me part number on your shop?Thank you very much and have a nice day.
May / 31 / 2019
Answer:
Ys you can do it (read about ABS) , recommended disks T-Drive 208A98525 or SS 208973725 . You can find other products working on your motorcycle filtering our site by your model.

Question:
Hi, I have a Ducati 1199 Panigale with no abs! I would like to install these calipers, but I notice there are two types of GP4-RX. One type with a bleed screw on top and the entrance for brake fluid on the backside of the caliper (picture of caliper is in your pdf file) and the other type is with no bleed screw and the entrance for brake fluid is angled on the top of the caliper. Please clarify, as I would like to purchase the model with the bleed screw not without.
October / 05 / 2019
Answer:
This part is correct, therefore pictures shows 100mm calipers, while the only available pdf that Brembo uses , shows 108mm calipers. 108 mm are longer therefore there is space for bleeder

Question:
I am interested in the 100mm brembo calipers. The Nickel plated GP4RX. I have a question about them though. The body looks different than the 108mm calipers. Ive looked on other sites & both the 108 & the 100mm calipers look the same. Is there a reason why yours are different? On the ones above that I'm interested in the bleeder bolt & the banjo bolt locations are in different areas from the 108mm to the 100mm. Thanks William....
January / 29 / 2021
Answer:
108 is longer than 100 therefore the body is different. The reason why in other sites look the same is because they don't have the right pictures, they are not accurate. On our site you can watch the right 100mm RX picture. As far as 100mm is shorter than 108mm there is not a bleeder inlet and a Banjo inlet, there is not enough space for both, There is only one inlet where to use a bleeding banjo bolt , the typical bolt with on the top the bleeder.

Question:
ok so if I'm understanding you correctly there is not a bleeder & a banjo bolt for the brake line? There is only one because of the size? If I want to bleed my brakes I have to bleed them with the banjo bolt? That means I every time I want to bleed my brakes I have to crack my brake line loose? If that is the case are all of the 100mm Brembo Calipers this way or just this model? I have another question about the bleeder valve covers. I need 3 of them. I need 2 red ones & one gold one. Is that possible to do or do they come in sets only?
January / 29 / 2021
Answer:
To Bleed you can use a banjo bolt or use the banjo bolt that has the bleeder over the head, in this case it works same as you have a separate bleeder. Billet Bleed Valve Cover Kit comes only as sets.

Question:
I actually looked it up after you mentioned the bleeder banjo bolt. It makes sense to me now. Can I use the Billet valve covers on the banjo / bleeder bolt? Also I'm in the US. Is it still free shipping?
January / 29 / 2021
Answer:
The billet valve covers made by CNC Racing (guess you are writing about them) works only on Brembo oem valves, then the answer is NO.

Question:
I am considering these calipers in combination with the Brembo T-Drive Disks and the Brembo Master Cylinder XA7G7G0 on your recommendation. I see in the description above it says "Brembo recommends not to install this caliper if the motorcycle oem brake system is a ABS System, or to deactivate ABS system" So does this I must deactivate my ABS all the time in order to use these calipers? Will ABS not work at all with these calipers?
March / 27 / 2021
Answer:
We answered several times to ABS question, please read past answers; Will ABS work ? Will ABS works same as stock calipers ? We and Brembo don't know. XA7G7G0 master cylinder is not developed to work with ABS, seals are not set to work with push / pull ABS type of use. XA7G7G0 is therefore not approved for ABS . Use 19RCS master cylinder

Question:
One additional question. I was reading through the comments up top but am not clear on whether or not you would recommend an upgrade on the stock brake lines on my Ducati V4 Speciale 2018 if I am going to get these along with Brembo XA7G7G0 master and the Brembo 208C89011 T-Drives. Last question, do I need any banjo bolts for bleeding? If so which ones do you recommend? I am in Canada and want to get this order right before I place my order. Thanks!
March / 27 / 2021
Answer:
As you can see inside this page there is a long banjo bleeders list, you do not need because there are other ways to blled, BUT is highly recommended because these calipers has not the bleeder. Our advice is to purchase a custom brake line kit asking to officina@frentubo.com a quite for carbotech brake lines for GP4 + radial mc including caliper bleeders .

Question:
That's not the answer I was looking for. We and Brembo don't know" is not something I want to gamble on. I did read through the answers, and there is no definitive one on this topic, so I thought I might ask you, the expert.
March / 28 / 2021
Answer:
You are right it was not the right answer, we wrote "we don't know" because to know if it works it should be tested on each motorcycle as brand new, not knowing the only correct answer is : "Brembo recommends not to install this caliper if the motorcycle oem brake system is a ABS System, or to deactivate ABS system." To future question regarding ABS we will not answer "we don't know" , we will not answer any more, it will be always the same answer , won't help to repeat it.

Question:
Thank you for your explanation. I will see if I can dig up anything in the Ducati forms about this. In the meantime, is there another caliper you could recommend with the Brembo XA7G7G0 master and the Brembo 208C89011 T-Drives. One that will work with ABS or am I going to have to stick to the GP4 series? Thank you
March / 28 / 2021
Answer:
Any 19RCS is compatible with ABS .

Question:
compatible with s1000rr 2022 with oem master cylinder
August / 18 / 2022
Answer:
Yes compatible. However is not a good idea use stock master cylinder and change calipers, usually the first mod is the master cylinder then calipers

Question:
Calipers gp4 rx compatible with s1000rr 2023 with master cylinder rcs19
February / 07 / 2023
Answer:
Thank you for contacting us through our website. Yes We confirm this part is correct.

Question:
Hi, does this fit into R1 2013? Thanks
May / 06 / 2023
Answer:
Thank you for contacting us through our website. We confirm that this product is compatible with your motorcycle. If you use the 'Compatibility with my bike' tool you can check it by yourself, and you will also get useful tips to search for other compatible parts. NB: the '-' symbol before or after a year indicates 'up to the model year' or 'starting from the model year'.

Question:
Does the kit include mounting screws?
May / 12 / 2023
Answer:
They are not included. Please note that most of the applications need specific mounting kit .

Question:
Hello CarpiMoto. For my 2018 BMW S1000RR, I understand Brembo says changing calipers would affect brake fluid volume use for ABS. Is there a Brembo caliper upgrade that has the same brake fluid volume use by the ABS? Cheers
May / 26 / 2023
Answer:
We don't know. Please note the warning is a sort of "DISCLAIMER OF LIABILITY" .

Question:
Hi CarpiMoto. Your description says: “… two Billet CNC parts body.” This means this caliper is not monoblock? If yes, why and what are its advantages over a monoblock? Cheers
May / 26 / 2023
Answer:
Will explain with a ranking. Aluminum parts can be milled or CNC machined. GP4 RS are Monoblock aluminum milled, GP4RX are CNC machined two parts (not monoblock) , GP4RR are CNC machined monoblock. This is a ranking from bottom to top.

Question:
What do you mean “Please note the warning is a sort of "DISCLAIMER OF LIABILITY"? Just to avoid liability claims? Can you ask Brembo for upgraded calipers with the nearest brake fluid volumetry to the oem for 2018 BMW S10RR? Cheers
May / 26 / 2023
Answer:
Correct some customer mounted and had no issues, but we can NOT confirm it works with ABS. The Brembo answer to second question would be the same we received in the past and is for every motorcycle: ABS works correctly with stock calipers and stock tires.

Question:
Hi CarpiMoto. You said ranking is GP4 RS, then GP4 RX, then GP4 RR. Where does the GP4 MS rank? GP4 MS is CNC machined, correct? So GP4 MS is the predecessor of the GP4 RR? Cheers
July / 05 / 2023
Answer:
Yes correct. GP4 MS is the best caliper to be used with oem disks.

Question:
Hello CarpiMoto.I’m aware Brembo recommends to remove or deactivate the ABS for safety/liability reasons when upgrading to non-OEM calipers. My question is, does Brembo say what exactly are the effects if ABS is still used? ABS activates later? Earlier? Or does not activate at all? Or brakes become weaker, stronger?I presume there was a previous liability claim that happened that made Brembo make a reservation on every sale of non-OEM caliper? May I know what that liability claim is all about?I think this information is important so that users would still upgrade but at same time be knowledgeable about the changes/effects. Upgrade means stronger brakes and, thus, more safety. With knowledge and awareness of the effects/changes on ABS functioning, there would even be more safety because braking technique can be adapted to the changes/effects.Of course, more sales from you guys hehe. Thanks for the patience in many questions.Cheers
July / 30 / 2023
Answer:
DISCLAIMER OF LIABILITY (two questions already inside this page talk about) it does not mean that something happened and then Brembo added this disclaimer, it means that since the caliper is not the stock caliper , Brembo will not guarantee the ABS will work as with stock calipers, because the stock calipers are simply different. They have different pistons, then different volumetria, then more or less brake fluid.

Question:
Hi, have anyone tried to use this left 100mm caliper for Motard racing (with 320mm rotor)? 2022 KTM 450SMR. I am wondering if it is any wider than stock M50 caliper, will it hit the wheel spokes? Thanks!
March / 20 / 2024
Answer:
Hit the spokes, that's why Brembo produces a specific caliper for SM use.

Question:
Hi! My last question was about clearance for supermotard with this caliper. I bought one (Left side, 100mm bolt spacing, 30mm offset) and can confirm, on a 2022 KTM 450SMR it does fit with even more space than the stock caliper. I think it will fit with 200mm triple clamps as well (xtrig) but I have not tested that. It does fit the stock bike. For anyone wondering!
