  Description

Brembo GP4 RS, MotoGP Technology now available on your bike.

Ideal for those who love the racetrack and those who want to see innovation to their bike's brake calipers, Brembo's GP4-RS was inspired by the monobloc caliper developed for MotoGP and is finally available to the general public.

Main Features :

LIGHTWEIGHT :

Brembo's GP4-RS monobloc caliper was created using a complex foundry technique exclusive to Brembo. The result is a caliper that is 10% lighter than the renowned M4 monobloc, which has been a long-standing champion thanks to its rigidity, reduced weight and accuracy.

COOLING:

The fins around the pistons are derived from MotoGP systems: the fins allow for efficient heat dissipation when braking. Thanks to these fins, the surface area of the piston exposed to the air is 30% greater as compared to calipers without fins. That's no small difference given that this section is subject to significant thermal stress and is located near the brake fluid.

COOLING

STIFFNESS:

ULTIMATE STIFFNESS: the ribbing on the front section of the pistons was also derived from the MotoGP. Such machining helps keep the caliper from deforming when braking intensely. The result is that the system continues to work accurately during intense braking.

STIFFNESS

UNIQUE PATENTS:

The Brembo GP4-RS is equipped with unique fins around the pistons, a patented design. These calipers provide you with a solution originally developed for MotoGP calipers and now available as an upgrade product for the first time.

ULTIMATE BRAKE PADS:

The Brembo GP4-RS caliper kit includes Brembo sintered pads created for mixed use on the road and the racetrack. A solution that allows for immediate efficiency on the road as well. For those who want maximum performance, Brembo GP4- RS calipers are compatible with many other compounds, with SC, with RC and also with Brembo Racing Z04 brake pads: full-blown "Factory Pads" used in the MotoGP, Moto2/3, Superbike and SuperSport World Championships.

PADS

Thermotape:

The Brembo Monoblock GP4-RS caliper kit also includes the adhesive temperature strips used to measure temperatures after each MotoGP session. By applying the adhesive to your Brembo GP4-RS caliper you can get a temperature reading and witness the improved cooling first hand.

Thermotape

Question:
Hi there.. Will this set fit my yamaha mt-09 2017, if yes which spacer kit do i need? And i notice it is recommended with 17rcs master cylinder, I'm currently using 19rcs. Is it ok or better? Thanks in advance..
September / 07 / 2018
Answer:
Yes you can use on MT-09 (please read about ABS) with adaptors 220A06115 and a 19RCS. If you appreciate 19RCS and stock calipers braking you will find better braking with GP4 RS. 17RCS is in any case the right master cylinder.

Question:
I want to know, brembo gp4rs can fix Yamaha FZ 09. Plug & play or need to add spacer?
September / 12 / 2018

Question:
Hi am riding a T-max 17 & this product stated it’s compatible But also recommended not to install if the oem is ABS . Unfortunately T-max 17 are ABS . May I know by that how it is compatible ? If it able to fit , is it plug & play or do I need adapters or new banjo / brake lines ? Thank you .
September / 18 / 2018
Answer:
We state the fixing bolt distance (108mm) is compatible with the TMAX fork feet. Brembo states that changing a caliper mantaining ABS could be a safety issue, then we must also state that is not compatible. Most riders do not worry about ABS and use calipers. You need for sure to adapt or change your brake lines and probably adaptors.

For sure these calipers are one of the best calipers you can install on a TMAX, they are used on supersport motorcycles.

Question:
Hi carpimoto, i would like to buy these GP4 RS callipers for my 06 R1. In the specs it reads that a RC17 is the best master cylinder for this callipers, I have a RCS19 Corsa Corta , will that be ok to use with these callipers? I also have brembo T-Drive rotors that I bought from you. RegardsTrent
March / 24 / 2019
Answer:
Yes you can use also 19RCS. You can use stock or replacement disks as well.

Question:
what is the performance difference between GP4 RS and M4 34 calipers
March / 26 / 2019
Answer:
GP4 RS calipers are a step forward to M50 which is a step forward M4, then they are two generations after the M4. The main difference is the size of the pistons, which is smaller than M4. GP4RS = 4 pistons Ø 30mm, M4 = 4 pistons Ø 34mm .

Question:
When used with Brembo 19RCS master cylinder, and HEL performance brake lines, does the GP4RS has a better braking force as compared to M4, as M4 has bigger caliper pistons and GP4RS has smaller pistons
March / 27 / 2019
Answer:
GP4RS shall work with 17RCS because of the piston size. If you use 19RCS on GP4 you have more power but less modulability .

Question:
Would you recommend M4 caliper with 19RCS
March / 27 / 2019
Answer:
M4 calipers works with 19mm piston brake master cylinder only.

Question:
Hello! Does the GP4 RS Calipers work with the 19RCS Premium Kit Black? Have a nice day.
April / 29 / 2019
Answer:
Yes, BUT the right master cylinder is the 17RCS .

Question:
Would like an opinion from this calipers or the HPK calipers to install in a 2016 R1 TrackBike?
May / 20 / 2019
Answer:
These calipers are calipers that can be mounted as stock calipers on premium motorcycles, for example on a Ducati "S" version of a Ducati. GP4 RX or other racing calipers are available only as accessory for racing or riders that can appreciate top performance parts. Two different products, it could be like to compare a R1 and R1M . For a track bike then, choose only racing parts, GP4RX or GP4 RR .

Question:
R these plug n play type a direct replacement of the stock caliper on a tmax dx?? And what types of pads do these caliper uses?? The same as the stock brake pads??
June / 09 / 2019
Answer:
These calipers are not Plug & Play. The use Brembo Genuine sintered compound, they are usually Brembo 07BB3793 .

Question:
Hi. What is the diff between the GP4RS & GP4RX. Is it jus the material. Is there major performance diff. Thinking of replacing my r1 stock calipers.
June / 12 / 2019
Answer:
GP4RS is a caliper for street bike, probably will be used soon on premium sport bikes; GP4RS caliper it is the evolution of M50 and M432. GP4RX is the racing version of the M50 or GP4RS to be used with stock disks or with disks that replace stock discks. It worth the money and the is far from a Gp4RS or M50 because it comes from the Brembo racing dept. It is the step before the caliper used with narrow band 6mm disks used on SBK or MotoGP.

Question:
Hi, could you please answer me for the following options. If I use :GP4-RS with 17RCS CC, orGP4-RS with 19RCS CC, PLEASE indicate what will be the difference in braking in both options? Thanks in advanceDejan
July / 18 / 2019
Answer:
GP4-RS have 32mm pistons, they are the evolution of M432 and M50. Choosing a smaller diameter piston size is the ultimate Brembo technology. Bigger is better does not work in calipers. GP4-RS with 17RCS : it is the right choice because you have more modulability and therefore you can keep braking in the first part of the curve then you can use more straight track then the lap time will be lower. GP4-RS + 19RCS : more power less modulability , when you push the lever you have more power to stop but it will be more difficult to modulate the braking in the first part of the curve. This is what Brembo recommends for RCS, in any case the choice is personal, there are rider that like 17RCS and other they like 19RCS. If you want to use a CNC Racing Master Cylinder , Brembo recommend 19x18 CNC master cylinder.

Question:
Hi which calipers would you recommend to fit a UK Yamaha mt10 with the abs disconnected.thankyou kevin.
August / 04 / 2019
Answer:
To have a real improvement you should purchase GP4 RX. The stock MT-10 calipers are already good calipers then we would recommend to change disks and pads before change calipers.

Question:
Can i buy only right side, how much will it be ?
August / 19 / 2019
Answer:
You can't . Not sold by Brembo.

Question:
Hi. I ride a zzr14 fork and front wheel. I upgraded the braking with Brembo M4 out of a gsxr. I had to upgrade rotors to 320mm without spacer. If I buy these gp4rs from you, are they "lower" than the gsxr M4 ones and will I need adapters for 320mm rotors ? Are pads the same for M4 and GP4 ?Thanks
August / 22 / 2019
Answer:
Ma and GP4 fixing height is the same, they use same soacers and same pads.

Question:
Hi, I have a Kawasaki Ninja 1000SX ABS 2017, looking to replace stock calipers with these is it much of an upgrade or same as stock?Thank you. Martin
September / 09 / 2019
Answer:
It is an upgrade but not a big step. We recommend other upgrades before changing calipers, for example master cylinder, pads, disks.

Question:
Hi, I’m using a 2013 Gsxr-600 with 320mm discs, which adapter should i buy?? thanks, greets fromVienna

Question:
Hi. Which one Brembo caliper do you recommend for brake master cylinder 19 RCS.GP4 RS radial or M4 34 radial? My bike is Honda Cbr 1000rr, year 2005,but I have mounted Ohlins front fork FGRT 2008-13 and Brembo serie oro brake disc fi 320 mm. Also for modelyahr 2008.Thank you.Marko
December / 19 / 2019
Answer:
If you have budget we recommend GP4 series, RS or RX to be used both with 19RCS or 17RCS (Brembo reccomends 17RCS), you can either choose M4 combined with 19RCS . Please note we would recommend to change disks (SuperSport or T-Drive) before change the calipers, or change calipers + disks .

Question:
Just to clarify, if i install GP4-RS 108MM for my MT-09 2017 ABS, i have to disable and remove abs from my MT-09 before installing this caliper? if i didnt do so, it wont fit my ride?
December / 30 / 2019
Answer:
ABS warning is a "warning" because we must warn customer that he could have problems under emergency braking or long ABS braking. It is just a warning that we must write, it does not mean you can't fit or you must remove ABS, it means that ABS would not work as with oem calipers.

Question:
Hi. I already installed the M4 calipers with 19RCS CC, Hel brake lines and OEM (stock) disks on my MT-09 2015 ABS. Would the GP4RS or GP4RX be a worthy upgrade? Or would It be better if I just replace the oem disk with brembo disk first? If yes, which one is the better one, the SuperSport or T-Drive one?. Many thanks.
January / 07 / 2020
Answer:
If you install GP4 you need to change also the master cylinder and use a 17RCS, only this way will worth, you will add modulability and shorten the braking distance (you will be able to use part of the turn for braking). Changing the disks with racing disks (no matter the model) combined with racing pads will be a pretty much better upgrade.

Question:

January / 26 / 2020
Answer:
It is the ideal combination but it is not mandatory. Try with 19RCS and then decide.

Question:
Hello, Currently running the oem "Brembo" caliper/pads and stock Suzuki rotors w/ Spiegler Rensport lines on 2011 GSXR 750... My Q is this...how much of a step is the GP4 RS caliper + 17mm master cyl. set-up? I am beginning to think this is not a big enough step for appreciative gains...am I better off trying different pads 1st?  Would the GP4 RX CNC P4 32/32 be a better choice? Looking for that one finger pull, but good modulation is most important. The above answers seem to be in the best interest of the customer, rather than sales...so, thank you!
July / 02 / 2020
Answer:
Everything correct. The real step would be GP4RX ; before you should try racing pads btw. Master Cylinder: if you move to a 17mm you need to change the calipers, if you purchase a Brembo 19mm and then change calipers you won't have modulation ...

Question:
I have a 2019 R1, planningbto run this with my oem brake system, would there be any issues i should consider? And are the m4 also one of my options? Just wanna be sure i can make them work as you haveva note that they can't be use with the abs system. Thanks
July / 10 / 2020
Answer:
Issues ? Yes for example the brake lines or the compatibility with ABS. Same as M4.

Question:
Hi, Is correct that this Calipers fit with Brembo SuperSport or T-drive Rotor 310mm on GSXR750 k6? Or I need 320mm OverSize Rotors? thank you!
July / 24 / 2020
Answer:
You need just the adaptors pn 220A06117, you do NOT need oversize disks .

Hi, if I install on this Tmax 560, do i need adaptors and spacers? I'm using original rotors. What is the difference between RCS 19 and master cylinder 19x18?Thanks
August / 02 / 2020
Answer:
Yes you need adaptors. Regarding mc place your question inside the mc page.

Question:
Hi, I have an 06 R6 with the oem 16mm Brembo master cylinder and SS braided lines, stock rotors. With these GP4-RS calipers, can I use the oem master cylinder or would it be crucial to upgrade to the 17 RCS? Is there anything unique about the RCS system that is only compatible with GP4-RS calipers, or is it just the size of the master cylinder that matters? I would think i could use the oem master cylinder because the oem caliper pistons are 32mm. thank you
October / 18 / 2020
Answer:
Changing calipers (R6 already uses are good calipers) without changing before or at the same time the master cylinder has no sense, also 16mm can NOT be used. Use a 17mm master cylinder, for instance Nissin or also Brembo. We recommend to change the master cylinder , use racinng pads , disks, and if you are not satisfied calipers, these are the correct upgrade steps.

Question:
Hi, I have Triumph Street Triple R 2013 with 310mm rotors and Nissin calipers (108mm). Want to remove ABS, upgrade to Brembo master cylinder and GP4 RS calipers. But I can not find any information do I need spacers, different bolts or even to change rotors... It will be fine to keep OEM rotors which are Brembo's. Could you please clarify these questions?
November / 10 / 2020
Answer:
We do not have a solution because Brembo does not produce a spacer or bolts kit.

Question:
do i need brackets or just spacers are good enough do you sell the spacersalso 17RCS would it be the best choice ?
December / 30 / 2020
Answer:
17RCS is the correct choice. Spacers / bolts >>> depends on where will be installed, all listed inside this page btw .

Question:
I am using GALESPEED master cylinder 19X18-20mm and want GP4RS + Z04 + Brembo Racing Pistabasa 6,75mm Brake Rotor, is it compatible?

Answer:
All the parts are NOT compatible each other. To use Brembo Racing Pistabasa 6,75mm Brake Rotor you need Brembo GP4RR calipers.

Question:
I have a Harley 2019 RoadKing Special with ABS. Ik like to put the Brembo Set Monobloc GP4 RS Radial Calipers 108mm combined with KrauseMoto adaptors on my bike. But what I don't understand is why the Brembo brakes can't be combined with the ABS system? ( this bike has a intregrated brake system as well on it) It is not a option to tke the ABS sytem of the bike since it is a sytem hooked on the canbus computer as well.
May / 19 / 2021
Answer:
As far as the ABS is set to work with stock caliper , ie stock calipers pistons , ABS warning is a "warning" because we must warn customer that he could have problems under emergency braking or long ABS braking. It is just a warning that we must write, it does not mean you can't fit or you must remove ABS, it means that ABS would not work as with oem calipers. It is a liability disclaimer.

RCS19 works with M4 calipers. RCS19 + M4 calipers are not the best solution. The right solution is 17RCS + GP4 calipers.

Question:
Which calipers have more stoppping power, the GP4RS or the M4s?Do the bigger pistons in the M4's automatically mean that the stopping power is better , (all other variables considered the same )
July / 08 / 2021
Answer:
Bigger is not better. GP4RS combined with a 17mm radial caliper is better than M4 + 19mm radial mc.

Question:
Hi.. I would like to asked.. Is it compatible with Z800.. And what is your recommendation.. As I'm looking forward to upgrading my brake system. Am I need to change the disc too?
October / 25 / 2021
Answer:
Thank you for contacting us through our website. We confirm that this product is NOT compatible with your motorcycle. If you use the 'Compatibility with my bike' tool you can check it by yourself, and you will also get useful tips to search for your motorcycle compatible parts. You can also find products compatible with your bike by filtering the site for your model year, you can also extend or limit the search using the filter by manufacturer or by category. NB: the '-' symbol before or after a year indicates 'up to the model year' or 'starting from the model year'. You can't mount radial calipers on axial fork feet. You may change master cylinder / pads / disks, but not calipers.

Question:
I have a 2009 GSXR750 (track use only) and have stock 310mm disks. I was going to use M432 with a 19RCS M/C but am now considering the GP4RS with 17RCS M/C. Will I need adapters? Would the 19 work with the M432 or is 17 a better matched M/C??
December / 29 / 2021
Answer:
The adapters for your motorcycle are pn 220A06117. 19RCS is correct for M432; can work with GP4RS but is not the correct size, the right size for 30mm caliper pistons is 17mm.

Question:
Hi, can i apply gp4-rs to replace my oem caliper for Yamaha r1 2020? if so, what spacer do i need to order? Do i really need to delete the ABS module for installing this brake?
February / 12 / 2022
Answer:
Thank you for contacting us through our website. Yes We confirm this part is correct. You need 220A06115

Question:
hi, thank you for your reply. but is it possible to only change the stock banjo bolt without change the whole brake lines (I'm too lazy to put a new one and also want to save a little money) for installing the brembo gp4 rs caliper to Yamaha r1 2020, if that works, what is the correct size for the banjo bolt. thank you for your patience!
February / 13 / 2022
Answer:
It is not possible, the inlet on your stock calipers are on sides while on GP4RS are over the caliper top. Also we recommend to change the master cylinder at the same time, then also the line to the master cylinder.

Question:
Hi, I have Kawasaki Z900RS (2018) and would like to buy this calibers for my bike but not sure what should I replace in this case. Could you help me please?I have everything stock except Spiegler brake lines.
February / 17 / 2022
Answer:
Brembo confirms you can mount 108mm calipers BUT they do not have yet tested which bolts & spacer kit is required (if it is). Regarding the master cylinder: Brembo recommends a 17mm, for example 17RCS . You need also new brake lines.

Question:
Hi can you recommend the best combo of mc and calipers and also discs for a Hayabusa 2012. I'm looking to upgrade the braking system fully for overall better stopping and control in the corners as well. The Hayabusa being a heavy bike the stock brakes don't do a very good job. Thank you!
March / 25 / 2022
Answer:
The best ? For Road and Track Brembo GP4RX + T-Drive Disks + Brembo 19mm master cylinder. If you want to use GP4RS ww also recommend Brembo T-Drive or SuperSport Disks + 17RCS . In both cases add also racing pads .

Question:

Hello, I own a ‘17 Yamaha MT-10. I understand Brembo GP4 RS (Part Number: 220C78310) are the best calibers. I know I need Adapters (Part Number: 220A06115) and a master cylinder (Part Number: RCS17PKB). My question is what braided brake lines do you recommend to install with this set? I know you have your liability statement about the ABS lines remaining installed. Also, I’d like to upgrade the rear brake. What do you recommend?

Answer:
We recommend to ask Fren Tubo to produce a custom made line kit, just write to officina@frentubo.com and they will quote it .

September / 20 / 2022
Answer:
Recommended master cylinder : Brembo 17RCS . It means that the best performance is achieved with 17RCS, you can mount 19RCS btw. You can use T-Drive .To mount you may need new brake lines, you need in any case M10x1mm banjo bolts.

October / 02 / 2022

Question:
Hi, im actually looking to upgrade to brembo gp4rs for my mt09 2019. 1) i have a hel brake hose to oem calipers, but can the length be used for gp4rs? 2) what do you mean by modulability when combining between gp4rs + rcs 17 vs rcs 19? Does it mean 1 is more gradual in braking, and 1 mire of a bitey feeling? If so, does it mean rcs 19 will have more stronger braking power?3) if i choose to use rcs 19 with gp4rs, will the difference in piston diameter affect the brake caliper in the long run? Thankyou
January / 22 / 2023
Answer:
1) We can't confirm they will be long enough, we can confirm that bolts won't be compatible because Brembo use M10x1mm bolts, also probably fitting should have a different angle. Therefore you might need you brake line . 2) We mean that 19RCS power won't let you modulate the braking as well as 17RCS. 17RCS will have a better lever feeling and also you can brake in the first part of the turn better than 19RCS = with 17RCS the braking point will be closer to the turn. 3) No impact, you can't damage calipers using mc pistons 19 o 18 or 17 etc etc .

Question:
Just had a set of GP4 rs monoblocks fitted to my CBR600RR 2006, iv noticed my brake discs are too small, so need to change up to 320mm. But also I can clearly see a rim of one of the caliper pots that isint cover by the pads that came with the calipers? Is this common? To me it doesn't look right.
May / 29 / 2023
Answer:
Since you did not purchased from us, we don't know which GP4 you purchased, in any case: Please watch our pictures, the calipers should look how we shot them. If they are not like our pictures you should contact the shop who sold calipers to you .

September / 27 / 2023
Answer:
We and Brembo did not tested the adapters on TMAX. BTW for all Yamaha that mounts the typical Yamaha 4 pistons calipers the required adapters are the part number 220A06115, which is a kit composed by 4 spacers ( 7mm Height) and 4 bolts ( 70mm Long)

Question:
Hello, i want to purchase these calipers for my ZX-10R 05 model, currently i have the 300mm stock discs….Which adapter kit i will need if i remain at 300mm discs and which if i go to the 320mm discs (and whicj type of discs are suggested to work better with these calipers for fast road and track day use) , many thanks in advance.
November / 22 / 2023
Answer:
For 300mm : 105998709 . For 320mm : 220A02421 . For track use: choose Brembo 5.5mm disks like SuperSport or T-Drive , these disks are full floating therefore on street they are noisy.
