I don't agree if it is a stock engine. 19 mm clutch mc are used on few ultra tuned engines.

Hi,I have a Ducati 1100 Evo Monster with a slipper clutch..would you recommend 19 or 16 RCS..?Thanks
November / 04 / 2017

We never reccomend a 19mm clutch unless the slipper clutch manufacturer would not reccomend a 19mm master cylinder. 99% of the slipper clutches use the stock master cylinder or the a 16mm mc. You should ask to the slipper clutch manufacturer.

Hi ,I want to fit a Brembo clutch master cylinder to a Honda RC30 (race bike with a standard slipper clutch). Hello. You need for sure a bigger size, how big depends on how much stroke you need when the clutch disk are worn. Also which is the oem mc diameter ? Please note that 16RCS piston is not 16mm but it is 15mm, then 17RCS is 2mm bigger then 16RCS.

Question:
Hi, i own a Harley fxdx from 99 have a clutch with a bore of 14-16mm. I run a 19mm Clutch Pump at the moment, it is not very soft, but works not bad..do you suggest a 17mm kit? (I have a 22 mm handlebar)What do i have to order to have a matching mounting kit and smoked color fluid tank matching to the rcs 19 brake kit? thank you for your help.
October / 21 / 2019
Answer:
If for "bore" you mean piston diameter, well for sure a 19mm is hard. The rule for clutch pistons is the bigger is harder, we recommend then a 16RCS (if stock piston is 14 or 15mm) or a 17RCS (if 16mm).

Question:
Hi there , my 2013 ZX14R has a 3/4 ratio Nissin standard clutch pump , so close to 19mm piston . I also recently added HD clutch springs , so pressure of that stock pump is now fairly heavy to pull in . I want to update to a RCS clutch , a 19RCS , but I ask if say a 17RCS might be easier on pull ? I am also concerned of possible negative resultant decrease of available lever travel and thus take up , a smaller than 19mm piston might result ? Thank you for your advice and wisdom .
July / 03 / 2020
Answer:
3/4 inches is 19,05mm, the only mc you can purchase is a 19mm. 17RCS will be easier to pull but we can't confirm you can have the same stroke

For Ducati Diavel 2011, Master cylinder for brake and clutch; does 19rcs (18-20) fit for my bike? Is there everything need for mount in that kit or do I need any other items?Looking forward to your reply,Kind Regards
July / 28 / 2021

You need a 16RCS for clutch. 19RCS for brake. If you use 19RCS for clutch you woin't be able to move the clutch lever. You need also brake reservoir kits , mirror clamps, and new brake / clutch lines
Question:
Thank for your reply. Didn’t think about problem for clutch side, thank you advice me a 16 rcs model. Does it stands same if using a dry clutch kit?I already have a oil reservoirs. The OEM brake/clutch lines can’t be used?Do you accept PayPal as payment method?Kind Regards
July / 28 / 2021
Answer:
The stock clutch is 15mm, 16RCS is a 15mm piston master cylinder therefore if now your stock master cylinder works, the 16RCS will work better. The oem lines are for axial master cylinders, you must change them or use adaptors. We do not use PP .

Question:
Dear Carpimoto,There was a question on March / 08 / 2020 and you answered that this clutch master cylinder can be used for braking. This is exactly what I'm looking for, as of my physical condition. I have a Suzuki GSF1250SA with steel braided brake lines and standard Nissin break calibers (2 x 310mm discs, 4-piston calipers). Just want to double check that I need 19RCS and NOT 16RCS. Thank you so much for the quality answers that you provide.
January / 30 / 2023
Answer:
For sure not 16RCS. Please check which is the stock master cylinder diameter, it is written over the mc. If it is 5/8" (as we think) is a 16mm therefore the upgrade is 17mm or 19 mm. It won't be in any case 16RCS because the real piston diameter is 15mm therefore less than stock
